A Guinness journal
Score the pint, keep the photo, note who you were with. Black Book is a private record of the Guinness you've had and the pubs you had it in — and a passport that fills in one county at a time.
Give every pint a score out of ten — half points allowed — a note, and a photo. Search your history by pub, note or place, and see which pint was actually the best one.
There are no public reviews and no leaderboards. Your scores are for you.
Your first pint at a new pub earns a stamp in that county. Every one of the 32 counties has a target to complete — a reason to try the pub down the road, and the one three counties over.
Every pub on the island is there from day one, so logging a pint is a couple of taps. Find what's near you, search by name, or add the one that's missing.
Add a friend by their email and you can read each other's journals. Log a pint and choose, pint by pint, whether to let them know which pub you're in.
Your average score, your favourite pub, and how your scores spread — what you actually rate, worked out from what you've actually drunk.
Pub not on the map? Add it in seconds and log your pint straight away. Abroad? Add that one too — it just won't earn a county stamp.
Nobody can read your journal unless you add them as a friend — and that's enforced by the database itself, not just the app. Your photos are stored privately too, and there are no ads, no trackers and no public reviews.
